[tech & gadgets] au design project neon phone

You know how sometimes you'll see something and want it immediately based on looks alone, without knowing a damn thing about it; whether it will serve any functional or practical purpose? Well, the KDDI "Neon" phone from designer Naoto Fukasawa falls into this category. The latest addition of the Au Design Project Series, the Neon phone has an organic EL display, which means the smooth top surface of the phone is one big display. As reported by Gizmodo, the Neon is primarily a music phone (includes an FM radio), and includes 50MB of memory and a midiSD card slot. It's also got a 240x320 TFT screen, 1.3 megapixel camera and a slew of other features which nobody can seem to figure out since the Neon product page is in Japanese.
