Perched 60 floors above of the City of Angels (the one in Southeast Asia) sits Vertigo and Moon Bar, the open-air rooftop lounge/restaurant that appears to be one of the "it" places for Bangkok expats. As a former resident of the bustling metropolis, I thought this was a bit of an ambitous project since the Bangkok I remember was heavily polluted, and sitting outside was completely out of the question. Either they've seriously cleaned up their act or the air is a helluva lot cleaner 60 floors above street-level. The customer reviews on World's Best Bars are quite positive, compared to the usual negative feedback you hear on these types of trendy joints. Vertigo is open 5pm-12am, so it's a perfect place to start off your night before you head over to some of Bangkok's other hotspots such as the hip Bed Supper Club, legendary Q Bar or up-and-coming Club Astra.
