[autos + advertising] bmw checkmate

Love this move by the Santa Monica (CA) BMW dealership, in response to an outdoor ad Audi placed on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Beverly Glen Blvd. Featuring the new A4, the Audi ad challenged BMW with the following copy: "Your move, BMW." BMW responded with a gi-normous M3 billboard across the street that simply states: "Checkmate." Who says advertising doesn't work? I totally want a BMW now...
