[tech] dogtracs gps system
We had to keep our dog tied up to one section of our basement yesterday so that he wouldn't get loose and chew up our carpet. Turns out, the little bastard chewed through his leash and ended up having the whole basement to himself (luckily, he didn't chew the carpet). Now, if I had him hooked up to the DogTracs system, I would've known that he strayed from his designated area. DogTracs is a GPS tracking system that alerts you via text message anytime Fido strays too far from the house (a small transponder has to be attached to his collar). A web-based dashboard includes an aerial map that tracks your dogs current location, which is a neat little feature.
