SmithsonMartin 42-inch Touchscreen DJ System

For years, you really weren't considered a DJ unless you truly knew how to put finger to vinyl like the old school cats used to do. Compact disc and laptop DJ'ing became commonplace and somewhat acceptable, but you still weren't a DJ, but just another person who was really good at creating playlists.  There was no skill and glamour in anything that did not include a couple of 12" records and a set of some badass Technic decks.

Allow me to introduce you to the exception to said rule. The SmithsonMartin Emulator Dual View System (DVS) is essentially a giant (42-inch) transparent mixing dashboard that looks like something that was lifted from the nighclub in Tron: Legacy, according to a review by Wired Magazine.  This thing is crazy.  A projector that sits on the base allows the clear glass screen to burst to life with all sorts of buttons, sliders and knobs that react to touch.  And because the screen is transparent, audiences on the other side of the DJ can watch every swipe, twist and tap.
